About CribAssist

Finding a place to rent in Nigeria often means relying on listings you cannot check, paying before you have seen a property, and hoping the person you are dealing with is who they say they are. CribAssist exists to make renting clearer and safer.

What we do

CribAssist is a rental marketplace that connects renters across Nigeria with landlords and property managers.

• Verified listings. Every listing is reviewed by CribAssist before it is published.
• Verified people. Renters verify their identity with a government ID and a live selfie before they book or rent.
• In-person inspections. Book a time the landlord or property manager has opened and see the property before you pay rent.
• Clear costs. The rent and every required move-in fee are shown on the listing, and the full total is shown before you pay. CribAssist adds no fee for renters.
• Protected payments. Rent is paid through Paystack and held until you have the keys and have had time to check the property (48 hours if you inspected it through CribAssist, 7 days if you didn't), so you can report a problem before it is released.

Who we are for

CribAssist is for anyone in Nigeria looking for a rental home, especially people who need to find one quickly in a place they may not know yet: young professionals starting a new job, people relocating for work or family, and corps members starting their service year. You can add your workplace or PPA when you search.

Where we are

We are adding verified listings city by city. If there are no homes yet where you are searching, leave your email on the search page and we will tell you as soon as one is listed there.

For landlords and property managers

CribAssist helps landlords and property managers reach renters who are verified and ready to inspect and rent, with payouts to your own bank account after each rental's protection period.

• ₦5,000 signup bonus for landlords. Yours to withdraw once your first rental through CribAssist completes.
• Referral rewards. Invite other landlords and property managers and earn 1% of the yearly rent of their first rental, up to ₦20,000.

What we don't do

We do not own or manage the properties listed on CribAssist, and we are not a party to your tenancy. Verification and Transaction Protection reduce risk, but they do not replace inspecting a property and reading your tenancy agreement.
